Integrative Wellness Planning

Welcome - For clients that are interested, I offer the option of incorporating Integrative Wellness Planning into the therapeutic process. Personal well-being is made up of a constellation of factors that are interconnected and influence one another. Positive action in one area can often influence beneficial changes in other areas, and the same is true for negative actions having their own set of adverse downstream consequences. Over the years, I have found that talk therapy can be powerfully supported and optimized by having a conscious and thoughtful roadmap for where you want to go with your overall health and well-being.

My intention is to help clients maximize their health and wellness across multiple domains. There are infinite gateways to healing and we begin by assessing the core categories of physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, occupational, and/or spiritual wellness. Here it is helpful to develop more awareness into the areas that feel stable or balanced versus the ones that feel stagnant or depleted. From a place of curiosity and non-judgment, we may also expore other aspects including sleep, nutrition, exercise, substances, relationship with self and others, boundaries, values, communication, screen time, cumulative stress, coping skills, self-talk, and overall relaxation.

Every mind, body, and nervous system is unique and it is essential to clarify what resonates with you and what obstacles or patterns may be getting in the way of optimal functioning. My goal is to help clients foster self-awareness, self-trust, and personal integrity as they create compassionate, constructive, meaningful change in their lives. Often the therapeutic process can help identify psychological blocks and transform old patterns of thinking, feeling, and/or behavior that may be impeding one’s potential for self-acceptance, growth, and progress. Once these obstacles are understood and cleared, we can more freely step into new habits and routines that foster holistic wellness and flourishing.

My process involves collaborating with clients to explore a variety of tools and approaches for enhancing overall well-being. I am always eager to learn more about what is most meaningful and important to each client in the different domains of health and wellness. My intention is to help clients feel seen, heard, and respected while building from a strengths-based foundation that incorporates rest, pleasure, and joy. Together we can identify skills and objectives that are personally resonant and relevant, as well as break down larger goals into manageable steps that are accessible today.

Change can be hard and sometimes there are phases where you might contemplate change before actually taking consistent action. This is normal and you are not alone. There is no such thing as perfection and every Wellness Plan looks different and evolves over time. It is an honor to accompany people on their paths to well-being and my approach is warm, open-minded, and affirming. Most importantly, I want my clients to know they have options and agency when it comes to their health, wellness, and capacity to feel better.
